POR UM TRIZ (OUT OF TIME, USA, 2003) – A primeira sequência deste noir tropical, com Denzel Washington, todo cool como o chefe de polícia na escaldante Flórida, que, fingindo atender ao chamado de uma mulher (na realidade, sua amante), chega à casa dela e a interroga com o jeito mais malandro possível – cena estupenda, com um ator superlativo e obrigatório – já aponta para uma história irresistível, que exsuda sensualidade e mistério, com um roteiro bem estruturado e boas atuações do elenco de apoio, como Eva Mendes e John Billingsley (o Dr. Phlox, de STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE). Eva Mendes, apesar da boa atuação, não convence muito como uma policial de roupas justas e curvas perigosas... mas quem se importa? The first sequence of this tropical noir, with Denzel Washington, all cool as the police chief in scorching Florida, who, pretending to answer the call of a woman (in reality, his lover), arrives at her house and interrogates her in the most mischievous way possible – a stupendous scene, with a superlative and obligatory actor – already points to an irresistible story, that exudes sensuality and mystery, with a well-structured script and good performances by the supporting cast, such as Eva Mendes and John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox, from STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE). Eva Mendes, despite the good performance, does not convince much as a police officer with tight clothes and dangerous curves... But who cares?
