SEGREDOS MORTAIS (DOWN THE SHORE, USA, 2011) – Este é o primeiro filme de James Gandolfini, depois de OS SOPRANOS. Tenho como regra que qualquer filme com JG é, no mínimo, tolerável. Sua atuação em Os Sopranos é tão gigantesca como neste filme, no qual ele é um homem torturado pelo passado. Como Tony Soprano, JG deixou uma marca indelével na cultura popular. Fora o exagero do título em português, SM é um daqueles filmes sensíveis, aparentemente superficiais, mas capazes de se aprofundar com o desenrolar do roteiro. É um filme sobre relações humanas frustradas – três amigos de infância, morando numa pequena cidade litorânea, têm suas vidas modificadas quando um estranho aparece. This was James Gandolfini’s first fiom role after the end of THE SOPRANOS. It is may rule that any movie with the incomparable JG is at least watchable. He puts in a towering performance as a man tortured by the past. As Tony Soprano, he has left an enduring icon in popular culture. Apart from the exaggeration of the title in Portuguese, DTS is one of those little sensitive films that seems like it is lightweight until the secrets of the story begin to leak.
