3959 - GUARDIÕES DA GALÁXIA VOL. 2 (2017)

     GUARDIÕES DA GALÁXIA VOL.2 (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2, USA, 2017) – Os Guardiões fogem completamente ao figurino da Marvel – são ladrões, trapaceiros, marginais, todos harmonizados dentro do espírito anárquico e hipercinético das ações, junto do humor mais chegado ao absurdo, como a trilha sonora dos anos 80, ponto alto de ambos os filmes. Cheio de momentos fofos, nos quais pontifica a elaboração sentimental das relações entre pais e filhos, GOTG chega a cansar em vários momentos, tanto pelo excesso de CGI, como pela perigosa proximidade com a necessidade de emocionar, mas nunca pela imediata identificação dos personagens com seu público. The Guardians do not follow the Marvel look – they are thieves, crooks, outlaws, all of them connected to the anarchic mood of the script and the hyperkinetic rhythm of the actions. The soundtrack full of 80s hits is the highlight in both movies. Fraught with cute moments in which stands out the sentimental elaboration of the relationship between parents and children, GOTG is a little bit tiring in some moments, be it for the excess of CGI, be it for the dangerous proximity with the need to stir emotions, but never for the immediate connection between the characters and their public. 3958 - O EXPRESSO DO AMANHÃ (2013)

Chris Evans e Kang-ho Song

       EXPRESSO DO AMANHÃ (SNOWPIERCER, Coreia do Sul, República Tcheca, 2013) – Em 2031, o mundo está congelado, à exceção dos que estão a bordo do trem Snowpiercer, em cujo interior o sistema de classes é reproduzido – os pobres nos últimos vagões, e os mais ricos na parte da frente. Uma revolução, liderada por Curtis (Chris Evans), tem como objetivo a redistribuição da riqueza da elite. Apesar do simbolismo do conflito entre opressores e oprimidos, o filme de Bong Joon Ho (de PARASITA) tem algumas falhas no roteiro, do ponto de vista científico e do bom senso. No entanto, fica clara a mensagem de SP: em qualquer momento da história humana, as classes oprimidas vão ter que lutar contra uma elite egoísta e incapaz de abrir mão de seus privilégios. Chris Evans tem uma cena dramaticamente perfeita, contracenando com Kang-ho Song (PARASITA). In 2031, the entire world is frozen except for those aboard the Snowpiercer, in whose interior the class system is reproduced – the poor in the back, the rich in the front. A revolution, led by Curtis (Chris Evans), aims to get to the front of the train and spread the wealth around. Despite the symbolism between oppressed and oppressors, Bong Joon Ho’s movie has some flaws, from the scientific point of view and the common sense. Nevertheless, the message is clear: at any moment in History, the oppressed classes will fight against a selfish elite that is unable to give up their privileges. Chris Evans is dramatically perfect in a scene with Kang-ho Song (PARASITE). Globoplay.  

 

 

3957 - OZARK - TEMP 2 - 10 EPISÓDIOS

       OZARK – TEMPORADA 2 – 10 EPISÓDIOS - (USA, 2018) – A segunda temporada de OZARK é tão sensacional quanto a primeira. Todo o elenco é excelente, mas Julia Garner continua o destaque: sua Ruth emociona em todos os sentidos, tanto na relação com o pai canalha quanto na proteção quase maternal com o primo Wyatt, mas também aprofundando a parceria com Martin na administração dos negócios. Cada episódio é um torvelinho de situações inusitadas, levando a uma aparente inevitabilidade das ações decorrentes. The second season of OZARK is so awesome than the first one. The entire cast is outstanding, but Julia Garner keeps on being the highlight of the show: her Ruth is so emotional on so many levels, being in her relationship with her crooked father, being in her motherly protection with Wyatt, as well as Marty’s right hand in the business. Each episode is a hurricane of unexpected situations leading to an apparent inevitability of the actions. Netflix.      

   

3956 - CAPITÃO AMÉRICA: GUERRA CIVIL (2016)

    CAPITÃO AMÉRICA: GUERRA CIVIL (CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, USA 2016) – A refrega familiar chega aos Vingadores. O Homem de Ferro e o Capitão América, e seus respectivos grupos, se desentendem em relação à supervisão governamental das suas atividades. O roteiro segue o drama tolstoiano, perpassado por uma abordagem política e principalmente psicológica, na qual emerge todo o simbolismo da briga entre irmãos – afinal, Howard Stark está diretamente ligado à gênese de Steve Rogers. O Pantera Negra (Chadwick Boseman) aparece pela primeira vez, assim como o Homem-Aranha, graças a uma autorização da Sony para sua reintegração ao universo Marvel. Há muito de desentendimento e rancor em GUERRA CIVIL, e esses aspectos aparecem, aqui e acolá, como pretexto para lutas quase épicas e para revelar mesmo os super-heróis têm dificuldade para superar uma emoção tão humana quanto deletéria, como o ressentimento. E, claro, há Scarlett...The familiar fray has come to the Avengers. Iron Man and Captain America and their respective groups could not agree about the official supervision of their activities. The script follows the Tolstoyan drama, political and psychological approach, from which emerges all the symbolism between brothers – after all, Howard Stark is directly responsible for Steve Rogers’ genesis. Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) has his first appearance, as well as Spider Man, due to a Sony authorization. There is a lot of disagreement and grudge in CIVIL WAR, and these aspects are pretexts for epic fights and to reveal that even superheroes has some difficulty to overcome an emotion so human as deleterious as resentment. And, of course, there is Scarlett... Disney Plus.  

 

 

3955 - O HOMEM-FORMIGA (2015)

 

     HOMEM-FORMIGA (ANT-MAN, USA, 2015) – Apesar de ser considerado um personagem menor (sem trocadilho, ok?) no universo Marvel, o Homem-Formiga protagoniza um filme simpático, divertido, mesmo com a suposta falta de apelo de um super-herói cuja super-característica é ficar do tamanho de uma formiga. No entanto, o Homem-Formiga já marcava presença na capa da primeira edição da revista dos Vingadores, em 1963. No filme, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd, o Mike Hanningan, em FRIENDS, marido de Phoebe) herda o traje  inventado por Hank Pym (Michael Douglas, o Sandy, de THE KOMINSY METHOD) e vê nisso a chance de se recuperar de uma vida na marginalidade e de merecer o respeito da filha pequena. Assim, o roteiro espelha uma das razões do fascínio dos filmes de super-heróis: mostra como um homem comum e socialmente derrotado, sem qualquer laivo de autoestima, pode ser tornar um vencendor, de acordo com os parâmetros da cultura ocidental. O ótimo Michael Peña rouba a cena no papel do líder de um trio de aparvalhados do crime, e Evangeline Lilly (a Kate Austen, de LOST) – a futura Vespa -, além de linda, é o contraponto perfeito para Rudd. Despite being considered a minor character (no pun intended, ok?) in the Marvel universe, the Ant-Man stars a nice and amusing movie, notwithstanding the  lack of appeal of a character, whose super trait is to shrink in scale to the size of an ant. However, the Ant-Man has been among the Avengers since the first comic book, issued in 1963. In the movie, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd, Mike Hanningan in FRIENDS, Phoebe’s husband) inherits the suit created by Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) envisions the chance to escape from marginality and regain the love of his little daughter. Thus, the script mirrors one of the reasons that make superhero movies so appealing: the average man, socially excluded, with no self-esteem whatsoever, is finally able to become a winner in accordance with the Western cultural patterns. The great Michael Peña steals the scene as the leader of a gang, and Evangeline Lilly (Kate Austen in LOST) – the future Wasp – is a gorgeous counterpoint to Rudd in the story. Disney Plus.
