AIR AMERICA – LOUCOS PELO PERIGO (AIR AMERICA, USA 1990) – Mel Gibson e Robert Downey Jr tinham tudo para ser uma dupla de enorme sucesso nos anos 90. Gibson, mais elétrico; e Downey, mais contido, na época, pareciam aquele time perfeito, no qual os extremos se equalizam de maneira irresistível. Em AIR AMERICA, houve uma tentativa de colocá-los lado a lado, mas o roteiro ruim, entre outros aspectos, inviabilizou a química que se insinuava teoricamente. As cenas supostamente engraçadas se perdem em sequências irregulares que vão, gradativamente, tornando o filme desinteressante. ENGLISH: Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr had everything to form a successful partnership in the 90’s. Gibson, more electric; and Downey, more reserved, at the time, seemed to be a perfect team, in which the extremes are equalized in an irresistible manner. In AIR AMERICA, there was an attempt to put them side by side, but the plot, among other reasons, made no room for the chemistry that theoretically insinuated itself. The allegedly funny scenes are lost in irregular sequences that, step by step, make the film uninteresting.
