O filme de Alan Parker é uma dessas obras-primas obrigatórias na estante dos grandes filmes. Com o twist final, tudo roteiro fica claro. Se há algo que faz desse filme um clássico é a cinematografia e a atmosfera onírica. A direção de Alan Parker é, ao mesmo tempo, sutil e arguta, capturando o clima noir à perfeição. As revelações são impactantes, fazendo do filme equilibrar-se entre a violência gráfica e a sutileza. Lisa Bonet é uma epifania difícil de esquecer. Once the ending has been revealed, all the hidden meanings emerge from the woodwork and a truly shattering psychological experience reveals itself. If anything makes this movie great (and qualifies it as a classic) it's the cinematography and dreamlike atmosphere. Alan Parker's direction is both subtle and sharp, and he really does a fine job capturing the noir-type mood. There are so many convolutions and revelations that it's mind-boggling. Though often graphic, Angel Heart can be subtle as well. Lisa Bonet is an epiphany that is hard to forget.
