George Clooney directs and plays along with some mandatory names in any production: Matt Damon, John Goodman, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett – all wasted in uninspired roles and useless in the construction of the plot. In bringing together elements from INGLORIOUS BASTARDS and OCEAN’S ELEVEN, the movie leaves out the team work: here, the characters act almost independently, disassembling a story in which the whimsical element is completely out of context.
