MATRIX REVOLUTIONS (USA,
2003) – Apesar de um pouco abaixo das
expectativas, o filme cumpre a missão de fechar a trilogia (daqui a pouco,
haverá um quarto filme), tentando responder algumas das muitas perguntas que as
produções anteriores levantaram. De novo, temos o confronto entre Neo e Smith,
uma luta cada vez mais sofisticada, entre o bem e o mal. É exatamente este
maniqueísmo insistente que limita o escopo filosófico da história. Mas isso
aconteceu antes e, certamente, acontecerá depois, se o coronavírus deixar,
claro. Despite being below the expectations, the movie accomplishes the mission
to close the trilogy (soon, a fourth edition is coming), trying to answer some
of the many questions raised by the previous productions. Again, Neo and Smith
clash – and it is the Manicheism that limits the philosophical scope of the
story. But it has happened before and certainly will happen later, if the
coronavirus allows.
