CORRA, QUE A POLÍCIA VEM AÍ (THE NAKED GUN, 2025) – O filme de Akiva Schaffer é uma clara homenagem aos clássicos com Leslie Nielsen, mas, ao emular as gags do trio ZAZ, acabou tendo um resultado meio frouxo, onde as poucas sequências engraçadas se perdem num roteiro pouco inspirado e atuações bem abaixo do coeficiente de hilaridade necessário a este tipo de humor. Claro, há Liam Neeson, competentemente fazendo de tudo para não ser apenas um pastiche do personagem de Nielsen, e ele tem seus bons momentos, embora a comédia física não seja um terreno favorável ao seu imenso talento. Pamela Anderson não acrescenta muita coisa à sua personagem e, em alguns momentos, falta a ela timing cômico e presença cênica. É o tipo de humor sem ressonância com os tempos atuais e pode não ter a compreensão de grande parcela do público, mas faz todo o sentido para quem riu com o Frank Drebin original. Akiva Schaffer's film is a clear tribute to the classics with Leslie Nielsen, but, by emulating the gags of the ZAZ trio, it ended up having a somewhat loose result, where the few funny sequences get lost in an uninspired script and performances well below the coefficient of hilarity necessary for this type of humor. Sure, there's Liam Neeson, competently doing everything to not just be a pastiche of Nielsen's character, and he's got his good moments. However, physical comedy isn't a favorable ground for his immense talent. Pamela Anderson doesn't add much to her character and, at times, she lacks comic timing and stage presence. It's the kind of humor that doesn't resonate with current times and may not have the understanding of a large portion of the audience, but it makes perfect sense to those who laughed with the original Frank Drebin.
