O filme tenta fazer referência ao universo de Nelson Rodrigues, ao mostrar os conflitos dentro de uma família disfuncional, na qual todos se manipulam, seja pela infidelidade da mãe, como também pela suposta inocência da filha, cujo relacionamento com a amiga tangencia a atração homossexual feminina, um dos temas tabus daquela época. Nada é desenvolvido satisfatoriamente e, ao fim, todas as cenas parecem empilhadas e desconexas, dificultando qualquer análise mais aprofundada de um filme entre a alegria descompromissada dos anos 60 e a piração institucionalizada dos anos 70. The film tries to refer to the universe of Nelson Rodrigues, by showing the conflicts within a dysfunctional family, in which everyone manipulates each other, either by the mother's infidelity, as well as by the supposed innocence of the daughter, whose relationship with her friend touches on female homosexual attraction, one of the taboo topics of that time. Nothing is developed satisfactorily and, in the end, all the scenes seem stacked and disconnected, making it difficult to further analyze a film between the uncommitted joy of the 60s and the institutionalized madness of the 70s.
