SEINFELD, TEMPORADA 3 (SEINFELD – SEASON 3, USA, 1991) – Alguns episódios clássicos: The Parking Garage (Ep. 6), The Nose Job
(Ep. 9). Just about
every conceivable situation, relationship, and awkward occurrence was covered.
Parking space disputes, frustrating customer service experiences, even sexual
dysfunction; these were the everyday topics that made the show so relatable to
television audiences. This is also the first time we see the characters
beginning to embark on storylines that continue beyond the end of the half-hour
episode, starting with Kramer taking off for California in the Season 3 finale.

THOR – RAGNAROK (USA, 2017) – De longe, TR é o filme mais divertido do universo Marvel.
O diretor Taika Waititi (do maravilhoso JOJO RABBIT) imprime um ritmo ágil ao
script recheado de (boas) piadas e diálogos inteligentes, sempre adequados à
dinâmica da história. Além disso, a ação é de tirar
o fôlego, e os cenários são mais críveis (suspensão de descrença, por favor) se
comparados a THOR, O MUNDO SOMBRIO. Há também tensão em acordo com o arco
dramático principal – briga entre irmãos – e irmã, no caso) e momentos mais
intimistas, caracterizando o apelo emocional da história. E, claro, um destaque
delicioso: Jeff Goldblum arrasa no papel do Grandmaster. By far, TR is the most
amusing movie of the Marvel universe. Director Taika Waititi (of the wonderful
JOJO RABBIT) inserts a dynamic rhythm to a script fraught with (good) quips and
clever in-jokes, all placed adeptly to the story. Moreover, the action is
breathtaking, and the scenery are far more believable (please, suspension of
disbelief) if compared to THOR, THE DARK WORLD. There is also tension in
accordance to the main dramatic arch – disagreement between brothers and sister
– and more intimate moments, giving the movie heart and pathos. And, of course,
a delicious highlight: Jeff Goldblum rocks as the Grandmaster. Disney Plus
OZARK, TEMP 3 – 10 EPISÓDIOS (USA, 2020) – Uma das melhores coisas das séries em streaming é revelar
atores fora do radar do cinema mainstream. Em OZARK, todos os atores são excepcionais,
até porque a série também é excepcional em todos os sentidos, do roteiro à
produção de cada episódio. Claro que Jason Bateman e Laura Linney arrasam –
afinal, são grandes atores e tiveram a grande chance de aliar seu talento a um texto
de altíssimo nível. Mas OZARK também apresenta uma atriz capaz de fazer do seu
papel um soco nos atingindo no estômago em cada cena sua – Julia Garner
é tão intensa na construção de Ruth, tão desprotegida, tão corajosa, tão sensível
quanto agressiva, que não se pode negar sua importância na maravilha que é OZARK.
Além dela, outra surpresa é Tom Pelphrey, no papel de Ben, irmão de Wendy
(Laura Linney). Especialmente no episódio 9, Pelphrey e Laura têm uma atuação
impressionante, num episódio perfeito. One of the best things of the series
in streaming is to reveal actors out of the radar of the mainstream cinema. In OZARK,
all the actors are outstanding, in an outstanding show in all senses, from the
script to to the episode production. Obviously Jason Bateman and Laura Linney
have top-notch performances – they are great actors who had the chance to link
their talent to a high level text. Moreover, OZARK introduces an actress able
to punch our stomach in each scene she is in – Julia Garner is so intense in
the construction of Ruth, so unprotected, so brave, so sensitive as aggressive that
we can not deny her importance in OZARK. Another surprise is Tom Pelphrey as Ben,
Wendy’s brother. Especially in episode 9, they have an amazing performance, in
a flawless episode. Netflix.
PANTERA NEGRA (BLACK PANTHER, USA, 2018) – Quarto filme da fase três do universo
Marvel, PN traz uma questão interessante e original dentro do panteão dos filmes
de super-heróis: a exploração do continente africano pelos países europeus e, claro,
pelos EUA. Wakanda, reino de T’Chala (Chadwick Boseman), é o único lugar onde
se pode encontrar Vibranium, o metal mais forte do mundo – aliás, o escudo do
Capitão América é feito deste material. Claro que todos estão atrás dele. No entanto,
é a história de Boseman a responsável pela dramaticidade do script. Sua morte
prematura (em 2020) ainda é muito chocante e não há como esquecê-la ao ver
Boseman em cena, tão digno, tão convencido de que deixaria para a história do
cinema um personagem profundamente identificado por ele. Fourth movie of phase 3 in the Marvel universe, BP raises
an interesting and original issue in the superhero’s pantheon: the exploitation
of the African continent by the European countries and the USA. Wakanda, T’Chala’s
reign, is the only place where Vibranium, the strongest metal in the world is
found. (Captain America's shield,
incidentally, is made from it) Of course, everybody is after it. However,
it is Chadwick Boseman’s story the responsible for the drama of the script. His
premature death (in 2020) is still chocking and cannot be forgotten, especially
when Boseman in action, so dignified, so convinced that he would leave to History
a character so identified with him. Disney Plus.
