A ÚLTIMA PALAVRA (THE LAST WORD, USA 2017) – O filme é ruim do princípio ao fim. Harriet (Shirley McLaine), uma ricaça com poucos amigos e muita rabugice, contrata uma jornalista (Amanda Seyfried) para escrever seu obituário que, se providências não forem tomadas, será o atestado de uma vida amarga e sem carinho. Vale pela chance de ver a irmã de Warren Beatty em cena, embora numa atuação sem grande brilho. Amanda Seyfreid repete seu personagem “grife” – a moça doce e sensível – com a competência de sempre. O roteiro é marcado pela monotonia e pela previsibilidade, além de atuações pouco inspiradas de um elenco de quem se espera muito mais. ENGLISH VERSION: the movie is a total failure. Harriet (Shirley McLaine), a rich grumpy old woman with few friends hires a journalist (Amanda Seyfried) to write her obituary that, without some treatment, will be the testment of a a bitter and void life. The chance of seeing Warren Beatty’s sister performing is worth, altough she has a tarnished performance. Amanda Seyfried repeats her favorite character – the sweet and sensitive girl – with the usual competence. The plot is dull and predicable and the cast’s less inspiring performance left a lot to be desired.
