FRAGMENTADO (SPLIT, USA, 2017) – O filme de M. Night Shyamalan aposta num clássico do cinema de suspense: o protagonista acometido por distúrbios mentais, cujo raciocínio é impossível compreender ou prever. Kevin Crumb (sim, o sobrenome já diz tudo), vivido visceralmente por James McAvoy, tem 22 alter egos didaticamente explicados por sua terapeuta, enquanto mantém três garotas presas num porão. A intenção de criar dúvida, insegurança e tensão entre os personagens (e espectadores) não se concretiza nesta outra tentativa de Shyamalan de emular o sucesso de O SEXTO SENTIDO. O resultado é medíocre, para dizer o mínimo. The movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan makes a bet that is a classic of the gender: the main character suffering from mental problems, whose thinking is impossible to be understood or foreseen. Keven Crum (yes, the surname is intentional), played viscerally by James McAvoy has 22 alter egos didactically explained by his therapist, while he keeps three girls locked in a basement. The intention of creating doubt, insecurity, and tension among the characters (and viewers) does not materialize this other attempt by Shyamalan to emulate the success of THE SIXTH SENSE. The result is middling at best.
