KILLER JOE - MATADOR DE ALUGUEL (KILLER JOE, USA, 2011) – O filme dirigido por William Friedkin desperta certa curiosidade para os
fãs do diretor de O EXORCISTA e pelo elenco, no qual Thomas Haden-Church,
Matthew McConaughey e Gina Gershon entregam excelentes atuações.
Definitivamente, nunca ganharia um Oscar – é o tipo do filme “sujo”, que vai ao
limite do “bas fond”, em situações tão degradantes quanto as condições de vida
dos personagens principais. Cavando fundo no intestino social do Texas,
Friedkin faz um filme talvez mais assustador do que qualquer filme de horror
convencional. The movie directed by
William Friedkin strikes the right note for THE EXORCIST fans, due to a great
cast, in which Thomas Haden-Church, Matthew McConaughey and Gina Gershon deliver
top-notch performances. Definitively, it is not Oscar made – it is that kind of
dirty movie that goes to the limits of the “bas fond”, describing situations as
degrading as the life conditions of the main characters. Digging deep in the
social bowels of Texas, Friedkin makes a movie possibly much scarier than any
other conventional horror film.
