O PROTETOR 2 (THE EQUALIZER 2, USA, 2018) – Sem a força do primeiro filme, E2 trilha uma seara mais intimista: ficamos sabendo mais da vida do misterioso Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) e de suas perdas afetivas (quem não as tem...?). Denzel Washington é obrigatório, sempre. Fuqua escolheu muito bem o antagonista. Atenção para a cena memorável com Denzel dando um esculacho num rapaz na saída do elevador. Dificilmente, acharemos uma cena tão impactante e bem feita. Without the energy of the first movie, E2 enters a more intimist area: we get to know more about Robert McCall’s private life and about his personal losses (who doesn’t have them…?). Denzel Washington is obligatory, as always. Fuqua’s choice of the villain is excellent. Attention to the memorable scene with Denzel having a serious talk with a young man after they get off the elevator. Acting doesn’t could not get any better than that. Hardly would such an outstanding scene be found in movies nowadays.
