CRY MACHO (USA, 2021) - Clint Eastwood é obrigatório. Aqui, mais uma vez, e brilhantemente, ele lida com o tema da sabedoria advinda de uma vida de frustrações. Mike Milo (Clint) vai ao México para trazer Rafael, o filho adolescente de um amigo e, no trajeto, descobre uma nova dimensão de vida, ao conhecer uma viúva responsável pela criação das netas. É exatamente neste mundo inesperado, presidido pela delicadeza avassaladora da presença feminina e seu poder de transformação, que Milo e Rafael encontram seu lugar no mundo. Como tudo que Clint faz, o filme é emocionante e, na sua simplicidade fílmica, é um dos mais belos filmes de 2021. Clint Eastwood is obligatory. Here, once more, and brightly, he deals with issues about wisdom as a result of a life fraught with frustrations. Mike Milo (Clint) goes to Mexico to bring a friend’s young son (Rafael), and on his journey, he finds a new dimension of life when he meets a widow responsible for the rising of her granddaughters. It is exactly in this unexpected world, dominated by the overwhelming feminine presence and its power to change, that Milo and Rafael finally find their place in the world. As everything Clint does, the movie is deeply touching and, in its filmic simplicity, is one of the best in 2021.
