AO COMPASSO DO AMOR (YOU’LL NEVER GET RICH, USA, 1941) – Fred Astaire dançando e Rita Hayworth sorrindo – dois dos pontos mais altos do cinema americano de todos os tempos. Nesta propaganda americana de guerra, o roteiro não existe, o argumento é fraco (e só se sustenta por causa do jingoísmo norte-americano), mas nada disso tem importância diante da leveza de Astaire (esse homem tinha ossos???) e do encantamento inerente de Rita Hayworth. In this war propaganda piece, the script is non-existent, the argument is feeble (and is only justified because of the American jingoism), but nothing is compared to Astaire’ s lightness (did he have bones???) and the permanent enchanting of Rita Hayworth.
