O GRANDE SEGREDO (CLOAK AND DAGGER, USA, 1946) – Fritz Lang dirige este filme com apelo antibelicista, em que Gary Cooper faz um cientista, durante a II Grande Guerra, que vai à Europa para evitar que os alemães desenvolvam a bomba atômica. Um pouco lento no início, a história assume um ritmo mais dinâmico à medida em que o personagem de Cooper vai se transformando numa espécie de James Bond. Atenção para a cena da briga entre Cooper e um agente da Gestapo, dentro de um prédio, ao som de uma música folclórica. ENGLISH: Fritz Lang directs this movie with an antiwar appeal, in which Gary Cooper is a scientist, during the WW2, who goes to Europe to prevent the atomic bomb from being developed by the Germans. A little bit slow at first, the story picks up steam as it goes along, and Cooper’s character becomes a kind of James Bond. Attention to the fighting scene between Cooper and a Gestapo agent, inside a building, while a folkloric song is heard outside.
