Peele dá uma nova perspectiva à situação de se sentir “um peixe fora d’água”, circunstância na qual o personagem principal, Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, estupendo nas suas reações diante das súbitas descobertas) se vê, depois que chega à casa dos pais da namorada. É uma discussão do racismo sob uma nova e instigante ótica. O filme funciona plenamente como terror e continua funcionando como sátira. Peele gives a new perspective to the “fish out of the water” situation, a circumstance in which the leading character, Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, remarkable in his reactions to the sudden discoveries) sees himself, after arriving at the house of his girlfriend’s parents. It is a discussion about racism from a new and instigating view. The movie works as horror and is still effective as a satire.
