PERSON OF INTEREST – TEMP 5 – 13 EPISÓDIOS (USA, 2016) – Depois de cinco anos e 103 episódios, não há como negar: POI ainda continua sendo uma das melhores séries da TV, envolvendo emoção e ideias elaboradas, além de muita ação e interessantes debates sobre a Inteligência Artificial. A temporada final é ótima e mantém os aspectos essenciais de sua trajetória através dos anos: grandes ideias filosóficas, excelente desenvolvimento dos personagens, ação magnética e intenso envolvimento emocional. As atuações são memoráveis e são elas que fazem de POI mais que uma simples série e ação/ficção científica, levando os arcos dramáticos a uma conclusão satisfatória, apesar de trágica (mas assim é a vida...). O elenco foi magnífico todo o tempo, mas as atuações de Michael Emerson e de Jim Caviezel representaram algo muito valorizado por mim – a amizade, o grande valor entre os seres humanos. A princípio reservados em relação um com o outro, eles se tornaram os melhores amigos e foram inspiradores. A conexão dos dois – além de sua determinação de salvar vidas - sempre foi a base de toda a história. O elenco estelar, grandes cenas de ação, roteiro primoroso e química perfeita (não, não é BREAKING BAD) fazem de POI uma das melhores séries na história da televisão, com uma produção de alto nível, diálogos perfeitos e atuações magníficas. É uma das séries mais interessantes, tanto intelectual como metaforicamente, especialmente nesta derradeira temporada. Globoplay. PERSON OF INTEREST's final season was a magnificent display of heart and smarts, mixing a thrilling, intelligent action adventure that involves artificial intelligence debates of paramount importance. PERSON OF INTEREST’s finale was great, showcasing some of the aspects that has lifted the show over the years: interesting philosophical ideas, great character development, tense action and heartfelt emotion. The acting was something to remember as each actor gave genuinely moving performances that elevated PERSON OF INTEREST beyond a simple action/sci-fi show, bringing the character’s dramatic arcs to a very satisfying conclusion, tragic as it is (but so is life). The entire main cast all delivered stand-out performances throughout the show but the performances by Michael Emerson as Finch, and Jim Caviezel, as Reese, Finch’s best friend, are something I treasure: they represent the ultimate value among humans – friendship. Originally guarded and suspicious of each other, Reese and Finch eventually become the best of friends to the point they are really inspiring for all of us. It has always been that relationship at the core of the show and the two men’s determination to do good and save lives that have made PERSON OF INTEREST a riveting, original, and thought-provoking show. With excellent performances from a stellar cast, exciting action scenes, incredible writing, perfect chemistry (no, it is not BREAKING BAD) with each other, PERSON OF INTEREST remains among the best series in modern TV history, with its very high production values, superb writing and terrific acting. This is one of the most intellectually and metaphorically interesting shows on tv, especially this season. Globoplay.
