UMA LIVRARIA EM PARIS (Il materiale emotivo, Itália, França, USA, 2021) – Um livreiro (Sergio Castellitto) mora com sua filha paraplégica (Matilda de Angelis) numa pequena livraria em Paris e se apaixona por uma atriz (Bérénice Bejo). A história original de Ettore Scola talvez tivesse sido mais bem trabalhada se o mestre italiano a dirigisse, e aqui fica uma sensação de incompletude, como se o filme não se resolvesse nos seus noventa minutos. Um probleminha na escalação do elenco: Bérénice Bejo está em outro circuito dramático e não tem química com o excelente Castellitto, também diretor aqui. Não chega a ser um desastre, mas poderia ter sido bem melhor. A librarian lives with his disable daughter in his Parisian bookstore and falls in love with an actress (Bérénice Bejo). The original story by Ettore Scola maybe best elaborated had the Italian master directed it, and here we sense that something is not complete in its 90 minutes. A minor problem with the casting: Bérénice Bejo is far from the movie atmosphere and has no chemistry with Castellitto, who also directs here. It is not a disaster, but it could have been much better.
