CADÊ OS MORGANS? (DID YOU HEAR ABOUT
THE MORGANS?, USA, 2009) – Hugh Grant é um dos meus atores favoritos. Invariavelmente,
faz, a cada filme, uma versão pouco alterada de si mesmo – o inglês deslocado,
tímido, sempre tentando fazer a coisa certa e, claro, se dando mal – e isso é ótimo!
Neste filme, ele e a esposa (Sarah Jessica Parker, inadequada para o papel)
testemunham um assassinato e são mandados pela polícia para o interior, numa espécie
de serviço de proteção à testemunha. A história é previsível, mas divertida, e conta
ainda com o maravilhoso Sam Elliot e Mary Steenburgen. Hugh Grant is one of my favorite actors. Invariably,
he repeats an unaltered version of himself in every movie – the out-of-place shy
British man, always trying to do the right thing and, of course, in the end, blowing
everything – and this is great! In this movie, he and his wife (Sarah Jessica
Parker, unfitted for the role) witness a murder and are sent by the police to
the countryside, in a witness protection program. The story is predictable but
fun and it is counts with the wonderful Sam Elliot and Mary Steenburgen.
