    THE PERSUADERS (UK, 1971) – Escapismo adorável graças à combinação de dois atores carismáticos no pináculo de suas carreiras à época, Roger Moore e Tony Curtis. No entanto, esta mistura insólita acaba funcionando muito bem ao longo dos 24 capítulos da sua única temporada. Nunca antes se viu uma química tão perfeita em cena – a fleuma britânica de Moore e a gaiatice de Curtis se complementam na medida certa, mostrando que estão se divertindo muito além de apostarem no improviso. O tema de abertura de John Barry ainda é um dos mais memoráveis de todos os tempos. Moore e Curtis estão claramente se divertindo, talvez também por causa da imensa quantidade de champanhe servida no set. THE PERSUADERS é um daqueles shows pouco conhecidos, mas que ficaram no imaginário popular. É obrigatório para quem gosta de ação, aventura e comédia. Tony Curtis e Roger Moore faziam um time perfeito e eram a imagem do espírito livre, juntamente com um apuradíssimo senso de estilo e a autoconfiança que todo homem deveria ter. The Persuaders! is prime-time escapism thanks to the combination of two glittering actors both at the top of their respective fields at the time and the whole thing turns out working quite well, along the 24 episodes of its sole season.  Never before has such chemistry happened on TV – Moore’s British coolness and Curtis’ gayety click together in the right measure, and always appear to be having a riot of a time, perhaps in some measure a result of the large quantities of champagne the cast got through on the set. "The Persuaders" is one of those rare television shows that very few people know about or talk about, but has stayed in the popular imaginary. This is a must-see for anyone who likes action, adventure, and comedy. Of course, Tony Curtis and Roger Moore teamed up perfectly. The two men were the image of free-spirited life, accompanied by a high sense of style, the right "Aplomb" any man should have.

.      O TRADUTOR (UM TRADUCTOR, Cuba & Canada, 2018) – Nos anos 80, Cuba recebe vítimas do acidente em Chernobyl, a pedido de Gorbachev. Um professor de literatura russa (Rodrigo Santoro, excelente) é convocado pelo governo para trabalhar como tradutor entre os pacientes e os médicos. Aos poucos, ele, que passa por uma crise no casamento, vai se envolvendo com o drama das crianças internadas. O filme é intimista e também faz críticas ao estado cubano, ao mostrar as carências da população. In the 80s, Cuba starts treating the victims of the Chernobyl accident at the request of Gorbachev. A Russian literature teacher (Rodrigo Santoro, excellent) is summoned by the government to work as a translator between the patients and the doctors. Gradually, he, who is in crisis in his marriage, gets involved with the sick children. The movie is intimist and is also critical to the Cuban state and the needs of the population. TC Cult.

      O ANJO (ARGENTINA, 2018) - Nos anos 1970, Buenos Aires foi atormentada por um assassino que matou 11 pessoas, brindou com uísque sobre um dos cadáveres e até disparou contra um bebê. A surpresa veio quando o sujeito foi capturado. Era um efebo de 20 anos, cabelos loiros cacheados e algum ar insolente. Ganhou da imprensa o apelido de O Anjo da Morte. É isso que o diretor Luis Ortega apresenta de forma competente, como sói acontecer como o espetacular cinema portenho. TC Cult. In the 70s, Buenos Aires was shaken by a killer who murdered 11 people, drinking whisky to the corpses and even shot a baby. The surprised came when he was captured: it was a 20-year-old man, with blond curly hair and an insolent attitude. He was given by the press the nickname of The Angel of Death. That’s what the director Luis Ortega presents in a competent way, accordingly to the spectacular Argentinean cinema. TC Cult.
