ENOLA HOLMES 2 (USA, 2022) – Assim como no filme anterior, EH2 continua a ser um filme muito interessante, pela leveza e agilidade do roteiro e, principalmente, pela presença cativante de Millie Bobby Brown, no papel-título. A direção de Harry Bradbeer, um mestre na quebra da quarta parede (ele também dirigiu a maioria dos episódios da maravilha FLEABAG) mostra o mundo em rápida transformação em plena era vitoriana, numa Inglaterra perpassada por novidades científicas e questionamentos sobre direitos trabalhistas (a abordagem das condições das trabalhadoras da fábrica de fósforos é historicamente muito relevante). Millie Bobby Brown é uma presença magnética, desde de sua primeira cena, ainda em STRANGER THINGS. As in the previous movie, EH2 keeps its level for several reasons: the lightness and the agility of the script and, mainly, because of Millie Bobby Brown’s captivating presence on the leading role. Harry Bradbeer’s directing is superb – a master of the fourth wall breaking (as in FLEABAG), he shows a fast-changing world in the Victorian Era, fraught with scientific breakthrough and discussions about labor rights (the approach of work conditions in a match factory is historical relevant).
