PECADORES (SINNERS, USA, 2025) – O filme de Ryan Coogler é uma homenagem à música negra americana nos anos 30 e ao seu sentido de consolidação da cultura e da influência da população negra em contrapartida com os preconceitos de uma sociedade incapaz de reconhecer, como acontece atualmente, a importância de seus imigrantes. PECADORES segue a linha do surrealismo negro, tendência maravilhosa surgida no cinema nos últimos tempos, como nos filmes de Jordan Peele, e também na literatura, como o escritor americano Henry Dumas. Atenção para a cena no bar de blues, na qual várias gerações de músicos e gêneros negros coexistem numa cena inesquecível. A inserção do elemento vampiresco levanta questões essenciais: o americano típico, preconceituoso e violento também sugou a força física, a cultura rica e a musicalidade natural da população negra, como nosferatus bonzinhos, supostos cidadãos de bem, protetores dos valores cristãos das famílias, mas capazes de tirar impiedosamente o sangue de quem eles odeiam e, ao mesmo tempo, se apropriar das suas almas, porque, no fundo, não as têm. Às vezes, só o surreal é capaz de explicar o real. Ryan Coogler's film is a tribute to black American music in the 30s and its sense of consolidation of culture and the influence of the black population in contrast to the prejudices of a society unable to recognize, as it currently happens, the importance of its immigrants. SINNERS follows the line of black surrealism, a wonderful trend that has emerged in cinema in recent times, such as in the films of Jordan Peele, and also in literature, such as the American writer Henry Dumas. The insertion of the vampire element raises essential questions: the typical, prejudiced and violent American also sucked the physical strength, the rich culture and the natural musicality of the black population, as good nosferatus, supposed good citizens, protectors of the Christian values of families, but capable of mercilessly drawing the blood of those they hate and, at the same time, appropriate their souls, because, deep down, they do not have them.
