À ESPREITA DO MAL (I SEE YOU, USA, 2019) – A história envolve uma crise familiar e o sequestro de crianças numa cidade no interior dos EUA. O que chama atenção é a atuação caricatural de Helen Hunt, quase irreconhecível, sem qualquer expressão facial. The story involves a family crisis and children being kidnapped in a small American town. Helen Hunts’ lack of facial expression is something to be noticed. It is a film of mixed tropes – child abduction, domestic disharmony and intruders living secretly in a house.   

4307 - O HOMEM ELEFANTE (1980)

Anthony Hopkins e John Hurt - perfeitos

 O HOMEM ELEFANTE (THE ELEPHANT MAN, USA, 1980) - A Victorian surgeon (Anthony Hopkins) rescues a heavily disfigured man (John Hurt) who is mistreated while scraping a living as a side-show freak. Behind his monstrous façade, there is revealed a person of kindness, intelligence and sophistication. This movie was executive produced by Mel Brooks, who was responsible for hiring writer and director David Lynch, and obtaining permission to film in black-and-white. He deliberately left his name off of the credits, as he knew that people would get the wrong idea about the movie if they saw his name on the movie, given his fame as a satirist.

4306 - THE MANDALORIAN - TEMP. 2 - 8 EPISÓDIOS (2020)

THE MANDALORIAN – TEMP. 2 (USA, 2020) – Antes de ver a terceira temporada, torna-se obrigatório rever as duas primeiras, nas quais a relação entre Mando e Grogu se aprofunda. Jon Favreau definitely reached huge success with this. The story about a lone gunfighter who makes his way through the galaxy after the fall of the empire and ends up taking care of baby Yoda is something irresistible. This is the show every Star Wars fan has been waiting for. Every episode is a wonder of the best CGIs ever and perfect scripts. Jon Favreau should be in charge of all future Star Wars projects.

4305 - X - A MARCA DA MORTE (2022)

X (USA, 2022) – Homenagem aos filmes slasher – um grupo de jovens planejam fazer um filme de baixo orçamento numa área rural do Texas, mas descobrem o perigo representado por um casal de idosos. Apesar da ideia pouco original, que lida com os clichés do gênero, o filme aproveita esses mesmos clichés para criticar a repetição de situações desse tipo de história. In this homage to classic slasher films, a group of young filmmakers set out to make a low-budget adult film in rural Texas, but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them in the act, the cast find themselves fighting for their lives. It's not an original idea, but it plays off the puritanical cliché in the slasher films of yore where the most sexually active characters are the most likely to get killed off. Prime.

4304 - O EXPRESSO DA MEIA-NOITE (1978)

O EXPRESSO DA MEIA-NOITE (MIDNIGHT EXPRESS, USA, 1978) - Midnight Express was still a superbly staged film. It has atmospheric cinematography and lighting, while the direction from Alan Parker is powerful and intelligent. Giorgio Moroder's electronic score is wonderful and unforgettable, and it is still effective and scary, adding a lot to the film. The film also has a very good screenplay, a very effective and iconic opening sequence, and a harrowing yet gripping story. Brad Davis in a breakthrough role gives a powerful performance as our protagonist Billy Hayes. His fellow Western inmates include Randy Quaid, Norbert Weisser, and Academy Award nominee John Hurt. Each of them adapts to Turkish prison in their own way and they all mentor Davis.

4303 - REMÉDIO AMARGO (2020)

REMÉDIO AMARGO (EL PRACTICANTE, Espanha, 2020) – Mario Casas geralmente faz bons filmes, mas escorrega nesse aqui. O roteiro é cheio de furos: Angel (Casas) é um paramédico, cuja vida começa a se deteriorar depois de um trágico acidente, e ele passa a ficar obcecado por sua ex-namorada. Há um certo suspense, principalmente por causa da boa atuação de Casas, mas as sequências são mal costuradas, deixando várias pontas soltas. Vale uma olhada, mas o ótimo cinema espanhol já fez coisas bem melhores. Mario Casas generally makes good movies, but he drops the ball here. The scritp is defective: Angel (Casas) is a paramedic, whose life begins to deteriorate after a tragic accident, and he gets obsessed with his ex girlfriend. There is suspense, mainly because of Casas’s goood performance, but the sequences are not properly connected, leaving several loose ends. It is worth seeing, but the excellent Spanish cinema has produced better films. PRIME.

DIÁRIO DE UMA BABÁ (THE NANNY DIARIES, USA, 2007) – Scarlett Johansson é obrigatória. O filme é aparentemente uma comédia romântica, mas o roteiro possibilita várias outras leituras sobre as relações entre diferentes classes sociais, apesar dos estereótipos:  Annie (Scarlett) é uma babá humilhada por uma ricaça (Laura Linney, sempre maravilhosa) totalmente indiferente ao filho pequeno, com quem Annie tem uma relação próxima. Não é uma obra de arte, mas Scarlett redimensiona tudo. Paul Giamatti está mal escalado como marido milionário de Laura Linney, e uma surpresa: Alicia Keys tem um papel secundário, como amiga de Annie. Scarlett Johansson is mandatory. The novie is apparently a romantic comedy, but the script allows several other readings of the different social classes, despite the stereotypes: Annie (Scarlett) is a nanny humilliated by a rich woman (Laura Linney, wonderful, as always) who is indifferent to her son with whom Anni has a close relationship. It is not a masterpiece, but Scarlett changes everything. Paul Giamatti is miscast as Laura Lynney’s millionaire husband, and a surprise: Alicia Keys has a secondary role as Annie’s friend. PRIME.

MADEMOISELLE VINGANÇA (MADEMOISELLE DE JONCQUIÈRES, França, 2018) – O roteiro lembra LIGAÇÕES PERIGOSAS, sem Michelle Pffeifer, mas com Cécile de France, um impacto estético da mesma forma definitivo. Ela é a mademoiselle do título deste filme repleto de beleza, seja nos cenários quanto nos figurinos, transformando cada cena numa pintura clássica. A história reúne clichés da natureza humana, das complexidades das relações afetivas e das inerentes tensões envolvendo as injustiças sociais, vingança e as torpitudes morais. Assim como Cécile, a cinematografia é belíssima, composta de estilo e atenção aos detalhes, remetendo às pinturas barrocas.  This movie was filled with beautiful, over-the-top, ornate sets and costume design, with intricacies that made almost every scene fit to be painted. The movie has the cliches of its genre to touch on human nature, the complexities of relationships, and the inherent tensions and corruptions resulting from inequality (sex, age, financial, influence, religion) and self-centeredness (delusion, self-aggrandizement, callousness, vigilante justice, lack of introspection, pride). It is a sumptuous costume drama of court intrigue, revenge, and moral turpitude. Like Cécile, the cinematography is gorgeous, with natural landscapes and the interiors composed with style and attention to detail, reminiscent of late Baroque paintings. POR UM TRIZ (OUT OF TIME, USA, 2003) – Denzel Washington é obrigatório. Neste noir à beira da praia, na ensolarada Flórida, ele é Matt, um chefe de polícia envolvido numa investigação de homicídio antes de ser considerado suspeito. A trama é simples e não difere de muitos outros filmes do gênero, mas a atuação magnética de Denzel – além da presença estonteante de Eva Mendes – transforma esse thriller numa experiência imperdível. Denzel Washington is mandatory. In this noir by the beach, in a sunny Florida, he is Matt, a police chief involved in a homicide investigation before he himself falls under suspicion. The script is quite simple and is not so different from other films, but it is Denzel Washington’s magnetic performance – besides Eva Mendes’ dazzling presence – that transforms this thriller into a unmissable experience. PRIME.

Depp e a bela Franka Potente

PROFISSÃO DE RISCO (BLOW, USA, 2001) – Biopic de George Jung, um dos maiores traficantes de drogas americano dos anos 80. Johnny Depp está genial, como sempre. Destaque para a linda Franka Potente, numa cena igualmente linda com Depp, um pouco antes do entrecho intermediário do filme; e para outra cena, na parte final, quando Depp está sozinho no presídio – extremamente bem dirigida e memoravelmente emocionante. O filme mostra um retrato consistente da ascensão e queda de Jung, no contexto das drogas nos Estados Unidos. A direção de Ted Demme é cheia de energia. George Jung’s biopic. Johnny Depp is great as always. Highlight to the beautiful Franka Potente, in an equally beautiful scene with Depp, just before the intermediate part of the story; and another scene, near the end, with Depp alone in prison – extremely well directed and memorably unforgettable. The movie displays a consistent and detailed portrait of the spectacular rise, and dramatic fall, of Jung and his travel towards turning powder cocaine into American's biggest drug problem. Ted Demme's direction is vivid, determined, and stylish. PRIME.

4298 - HARRY & MEGHAN (2022)

 

HARRY & MEGHAN – 6 EPISÓDIOS - (USA, 2022) – Em geral, fica um pouco difícil ter uma opinião definitiva a respeito de documentários como esse. É claro o tom positivo em relação ao casal é a tônica dos episódios, sempre pontuados pelo suposto ressentimento de Harry em relação à sua posição secundária na linha sucessória, aos ataques racistas da imprensa britânica a Meghan e às novas possiblidades de trabalho para o casal nos EUA. E qualquer forma, o documentário é bem feito e dá margem à várias interpretações – e isso pode ser um dos objetivos da produção. It is hard to have a definitive opinion about this documentary. It is obvious that the positive approach to the couple is the main chacteristic of the episodes, always pointing the the supposed resentiment Harry has towards his secundary position in the sucession line, the racist attacks of the British press on Meghan, and the new work possibilities for them in America. Anyway, the documentary is well done and allows several interpretations – and this may be one of the objectives of the production. Netflix.

TODOS JÁ SABEM (TODOS LO SABEN, Espanha, Argentina, 2019) – O diretor iraniano Asghar Farhadi (dos excepcionais A SEPARAÇÃO e O PASSADO) reúne Ricardo Darín, Javier Bardem e Penelope Cruz neste thriller de suspense em uma vila espanhola perto de Madrid. Tudo começa com o casamento de Ana (Inma Cuesta), irmã de Laura (Cruz), cuja filha adolescente desaparece misteriosamente. Seu marido, Alejandro (Darín) vem da Argentina para ajudar nas buscas. Mais um estudo psicológico do que um thriller de sequestro, o filme discute como uma situação dramática pode desenterrar segredos da família até então inconfessáveis. Iranian director Asghar Farhadi (of the great A SEPARATION and THE PAST) puts together Ricardo Darín, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz in this thriller that takes place in a Spanish village near Madrid. The story starts with Ana’s wedding. Her sister, Laura (Cruz), whose daughter mysteriously disappears, is married to Alejandro (Darín), who comes from Argentina to help the search. More a dark psychological study of people under extreme pressure than the kidnapping thriller as which it's been marketed, the film examines what can happen when intense pressure causes long-buried secrets to rise to the surface, how they can bring some together and tear others apart, often because of misunderstandings. 4296 - PATERSON (2016)

PATERSON (USA, França, Alemanha, 2016) – O filme de Jim Jarmusch é literalmente sobre o fazer poético. Paterson é uma cidadezinha em Nova Jersey, onde mora Paterson (Adam Driver), um motorista ( ! ) de ônibus e também poeta. Jarmusch insere no roteiro várias referências a imagens duplas, como gêmeos, por exemplo. A cidade se chamar Paterson assim como o personagem principal também indica essa dualidade, como se o diretor quisesse dizer que nunca estamos sozinhos – há sempre alguém lá fora com quem podemos nos identificar. Nesse sentido, o sobrenome de Adam (Driver) e sua função na história (um motorista) constituem uma outra duplicidade, certamente não imaginada pelo diretor, cujo significado apenas tem sentido para os falantes de português. O roteiro é simples: é possível encontrar poesia no cotidiano, em lugares inesperados, perto de pessoas com alma igualmente lírica. Uma obra-prima. Jim Jarmusch’s movie is literally about the poetic doing. Paterson is a small town in New Jersey, where Paterson (Adam Driver), a bus driver and also a poet, lives with his wife. Jarmusch refers to double images, like twins, for example. The name of the town and the protagonist’s name also indicates this duality, conveying the idea that we are never alone – there is always someone out there with whom we can identify. In this sense, Adam’s surname (Driver) and the his job in the story (a driver) is also another unexpected duplicity that only Portuguese speakers can notice. The script is quite simple: it is possible to find poetry in everyday life, in fortuitous places, among people with lyric souls. A masterpiece. MUBI.

A ÚLTIMA PROFECIA (THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES, USA 2002) - Based on true events, the film examines a series of inexplicable occurrences through the eyes - and mind - of one man played by Richard Gere. The plot sounds creepy and the fact that it’s based on true events sure makes it more engaging. The film looks and sounds scary as well and there are a few scenes that are bound to get underneath your skin. The film is still kind of disappointing as they don't really explain the movie so well and your left with too many unanswered questions. Sometimes its hard to take the movie seriously as there are some scenes that don't make sense or that the scene kind of feels like a joke. PRIME.

THE TRIAL OF ADOLF EICHMANN (USA, 1997) – Excepcional documentário sobre o julgamento de Adolf Eichmann, com emocionantes depoimentos dos sobreviventes do Holocausto e de outros personagens-chave, além das cenas mais importantes do julgamento. Eichmann declara claramente que só estava cumprindo ordens de Himmler, procurando de toda forma isentar-se de qualquer responsabilidade no transporte de judeus durante a fase mais aguda da Solução Final. Outstanding documentary about Adolf Eichmann’s trial, with emotional recollections of Holocaust survivors and other key participants, besides the most important scenes of the trial. Eichmann clearly states that he was only following orders from Himmler, trying in every way to exempt himself from any responsibility in the transport of the Jews during the most difficult stage of the Final Solution. CRIMES DO FUTURO (CRIMES OF THE FUTURE, UK, 2022) – Neste filme, David Cronenberg propõe uma reflexão sobre os exageros das intervenções cirúgicas, cosméticas ou não. Ele leva ao paroxismo a relação entre arte e corpo humano. Esqueça o roteiro – a história é a própria análise do limite entre vida e arte, no sentido orgânico, literalmente. David Cronenberg proposes a reflexion about the exaggeration of surgeries, cosmetic or not. He leads to paroxysm the link between art and human body. Forget the script – the story is the analysis of the boundaries between life and art, in a organic sense, literally.  Enough said of the organ motif, for more organic to Crimes of the Future is the human evolution to dangerous surgery and questionable cosmetics, a world almost devoid of humanity and full of narcissism. While it is a world devoid of pain, it's the interior emotions that seem, like the synthetic organs, vulnerable. MUBI.

HUNTERS – TEMP 2 – 8 EPISÓDIOS (HUNTERS, USA, 2023) – Depois de três anos, H desenvolve uma interessante narrativa em flashback, trazendo Al Pacino, maravilhoso como sempre, de volta e levando o time de caçadores de nazistas a planejar a captura do maior de todos, Hitler, então escondido na Argentina. Esta abordagem vai ao encontro das teorias da fuga de H e de outros nazistas para a América do Sul depois da WW2. São oito capítulos tarantinescos, geniais, dando uma nova perspectiva à História. After a three-year gap, H develops an interesting narrative in flashback, bringing back the wonderful Al Pacino and the other Nazi hunters in order to capture of the most important of them, Hitler, then hidden in Argentina. This approach matches the theories about their escaping along other Nazis to South America, after WW2. Eight great Tarantinesque chapters, giving a new perspective to History. Prime.

INIMIGO DE ESTADO (ENEMY OF STATE, USA, 1998) – apesar de datado, este filme de Tony Scott prenuncia então o que viria a ser a realidade 3 anos depois, no 11 de setembro: a intensificação da vigilância governamental sobre todos. Will Smith é um advogado perdido no meio de uma conspiração até o aparecimento providencial do grande Gene Hackman, num a papel em homenagem ao seu personagem em A CONVERSAÇÃO, de Coppola (1974). Ah, sim, e tem Lisa Bonet. Dated though it may be, Tony Scott’s movie is a preview of what would be reality 3 years later on September 11^th: the increase in the governmental surveillance over everybody. Will Smith is a lawyer lost in the middle of a conspiracy until Gene Hackman shows up to fix the situation. Hackman’s character is a homage to his role in Coppola’s THE CONVERSATION (1974). FX.

4290 - TENET (2020)

 

 TENET (USA, 2020) – Este filme de Christopher Nolan tem um significado especial, porque foi nele que, tempos atrás, conheci Elizabeth Debick, uma torre de marfim de talento e encantamento. Portanto, TENET já valeria a pena por causa dela. Nolan é um diretor com uma marca registrada, como no maravilhoso INTERESTELAR e em filmes como A ORIGEM, DUNKIRK  e a trilogia do Cavaleiro das Trevas. Em tese, TENET necessitaria de uma preparação prévia, em função de um roteiro envolvendo conceitos da física como entropia e inversão de tempo. Porém, melhor não se preocupar em entender, e sim seguir a narrativa hipnótica de Nolan e as impressionantes cenas de ação, como a do avião no aeroporto. This movie directed by Christopher Nolan has a special meaning to me because it introduced Elizabeth Debick to me. Thus, TENET is worth for having her in the cast. Nolan is a director with a trademark (INTERSTELLAR. INCEPTION and THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy). In thesis, TENET would require a previous research because of a script involving entropy and time reversion concepts. Rather than understanding, it better to follow Nolan’s hypnotic narrative and the impressive action sequences as the plane in the airport. Prime.

ENTRE O CÉU E O INFERNO (BLACK SNAKE MOAN, USA, 2006) – Um músico de blues (Samuel L. Jackson), desiludido depois da partida da mulher, cuida de Rae (Christina Ricci), uma jovem traumatizada viciada em sexo, permanentemente à procura de amor e proteção. EOCEOI é um filme duro sobre o amor e a amizade encontrados nas situações mais inesperadas. A atuação memorável de Christina Ricci encapsula um sofrimento com o qual muitos poderão se identificar, principalmente por causa da sensação de falta de esperança e de entendimento. Jackson faz o contraponto perfeito, dividido entre sua própria dor e a compreensão da dimensão trágica de Era. A God-fearing bluesman (Samuel L. Jackson), deluded after his wife’s leaving, takes to Rae (Christina Ricci), a young damaged girl addicted to sex, permanently looking for love and protection. BSM is a harsh movie about love and friendship found in the most unexpected situations. Christina Ricci’s memorable performance encapsulates a feeling that many people would be identified with, mainly because of the lack of hope and understanding. Jackson is the perfect counterpart, torn between his own pain and his perception of Rae’s tragic dimension. Paramount.

THE MANDALORIAN – TEMP 1 – 8 EPISÓDIOS (USA, 2019) – Rever a primeira temporada de TM continua a ser um deleite imenso. Watching TM for the second time is still a huge delight. The Mandalorian is every bit as good as everyone says it is. It's easily the best thing Star Wars has done since the original trilogy. Every episode of every season has been good so far. Jon Favreau definitely hit a home run with this. The Mandalorian is about a lone gunfighter who makes his way through the galaxy after the fall of the empire. He then comes across a baby Yoda who he pretty much adopts and brings along through all these adventures. This is the show every Star Wars fan has been waiting for. Every episode is action-packed and a masterpiece. 

4287 - STAR WARS - EPISÓDIO III - A VINGANÇA DOS SITH (2005)

 

STAR WARS III – A VINGANÇA DOS SITH (STAR WARS III – THE REGENGE OF THE SITH, USA, 2005) – Este filme dirigido por George Lucas é mais bem estruturado do que os dois primeiros, não fosse o excesso de CGIs, responsável por uma caracterização parecida com a dos vídeos games. O filme é longo demais e, apesar disso, a transformação definitiva de Anakin em Darth Vader é feita com açodamento, sem explorar as camadas dramáticas próprias de um processo tão essencial à história. Além disso, as limitações tespianas de Hayden Christensen são, no mínimo, constrangedoras. Por outro lado, Ewan McGregor está perfeito como Obi-Wan Kenobi na sua relação de mentor de Anakin. As cenas de ação são artificiais e sem vibração. This movie, directed by George Lucas, is more structured than the two previous ones, despite the excess of CGIs, which resulted in a video game characterization. The movie is overlong, but Anakin’s transformation is hastily made, without exploring the dramatic layers of such an essential process to the story. Besides, Hayden Christensen’s thespian limitations are, at least, embarrassing. On the other hand, Ewan Mc Gregor is perfect as Obi-Wan Kenobi as Anakin’s mentor. The action sequences seem fake and lifeless. Disney Plus.

NARVIK: A PRIMEIRA DERROTA DE HITLER (KAMPEN OM NARVIK, Noruega, 2020) - O filme mostra a história real de uma cidade norueguesa que se viu obrigada a abandonar sua neutralidade e abraçar a guerra diante da invasão do exército nazista. O diretor Skjoldbjærg nos leva a um cenário no qual todos os personagens estão resistindo diante do conflito, e o faz com algumas ideias interessantes:  Hitler avançava com suas tropas por toda a Europa e parecia se encaminhar para uma vitória a passos largos. Em 1940, os nazistas tinham como um de seus principais pontos de importação a rota de Narvik, por onde recebiam grandes porções de minério de ferro para seguir com o conflito armado. A relação entre um casal – uma tradutora e um soldado – funciona como linha narrative, até o desfecho previsível. The movie shows the story of a Norwegian town that gives up its neutrality in face of the Nazi invasion. Director Skjoldbjærg takes us to a scenario in which everybody is resisting the conflict: Hitler advances his troops throughout Europe and victory seems a sure thing. In 1940, the Nazis had Narvik as the main import points from where they got the necessary ore for the continuation of the war. The relationship of a couple – a translator and a soldier – helps the narrative line until the predicable ending. The vast fjords, snowy terrain as the backdrop, and a haunting background score heighten the tension in this movie which is a fictionalized account of events that actually occurred. ‘Narvik’ is a decent piece of work highlighting the toll war takes on innocent people and what one can do when left with no choice. It has an emotional hook. It’s both plucky and poignant. Netflix.  

4285 - SHIVA BABY (2020)

 SHIVA BABY (USA, 2020) – Como diria Sheldon, esse filme é uma cornucópia de constrangimento social: num funeral judaico, uma jovem universitária encontra com seu sugar daddy e com uma ex-namorada, gerando uma série de situações constrangedoras envolvendo essas duas situações. É basicamente um exercício de controle do caos, numa atmosfera claustrofóbica, na qual uma atitude acaba levando a embaraços inevitáveis. É uma comédia dramática, com uma inesperada protagonista bissexual, cujas posturas de poder confrontam os preconceitos e as expectativas de seus familiares e amigos. As Sheldon would say, this movie is a cornucopia of social constraint: during a Jewish funeral service, a college student runs into her sugar daddy and ex-girlfriend, putting in motion a series of awkward events involving these situations. It basically an exercise of controlled chaos, in a claustrophobic atmosphere in which one attitude leads to another embarrassing situation. It is a dramatic comedy with an unexpected bisexual protagonist, whose positions confront the bias and expectations of her relatives and friends. MUBI.

STAR WARS – O ATAQUE DOS CLONES (STAR WARS, THE ATTACK OF THE CLONES, USA, 2002) – O pior neste filme é a total falta de química entre Hayden Christensen (Anakin) e Amidala (Natalie Portman). O romance entre eles simplesmente não engata em nenhum momento, e não por causa de Portman – ela está perfeita no papel, apesar de contracenar com um ator dramaticamente limitadíssimo. The film starts off interesting with some scenes of mystery and intrigue that hook the attention. Unfortunately, it slows down in the middle with some unnecessary sequences and others with too much static dialogue. When spectacle does occur it is mostly good but nothing interesting links them together other than characters blandly talking.

First of all, the hair-raising attempt to explain what 'the force' is. Qui-Gon tries to explain to Anakin that there are Midi-Chlorianes which are the basis and the reason for everything. Anakin replies that he doesn't understand what Qui-Gon is trying to explain to him. Thereupon Qui-Gon lets it rest and the scene is over. Of course, you wonder what that was all about. So either you explain it correctly or you leave it completely. Disney Plus.

PAMELA ANDERSON, UMA HISTÓRIA DE AMOR (PAMELA ANDERSON, A LOVE STORY, USA, 2023) – A trajetória de PA se parece com muitas outras: capa da Playboy, sex-symbol, estrela de BAYWATCH, casamento com um astro do rock, o escândalo (para os anos 90) de uma sex tape roubada de sua casa. Revendo todos esses eventos, Pamela parece fazer um balanço honesto da sua carreira, aparentemente sem cair numa lamentação teatralizada. Sem dúvida, ela foi tratada cruelmente por uma mídia sensacionalista, capaz igualmente de construir como destruir os ídolos do showbiz. PA’s trajectory mirrors many others: Playboy cover, sex-symbol, BAYWATCH star, marriage to a rock star, the scandal (for the 90s) of a sex-tape stolen from her house. Putting all these events in perspective, Pamela seems to honestly review of her career, apparently avoiding a staged regret. Undoubtedly, she was cruelly treated by a sensationalist media, equally able to build and destroy the idols of showbiz. Netflix.

TREM BALA (BULLET TRAIN, USA, 2022) – Apesar das boas críticas, o filme de David Leitch (JOHN WICK e DEADPOOL 2) é apenas um amontoado de clichês, numa ação supostamente ininterrupta, dentro de um trem no Japão. Brad Pitt consegue a desconstrução desejada para seu personagem, mas isso não é suficiente para manter o filme nos trilhos. Entre brigas e tiros, o título é o grande acerto do filme. Despite the good reviews, David Leitch’s movie (JOHN WICK and DEADPOOL 2) is just a pile of clichés, in a supposedly unstoppable action inside a train in Japan. Brad Pitt succeeds in deconstructing his character, but this is not enough to keep the movie on the right track. Among fights and bullets, the title is the great asset of the film. HBO
