A SÉTIMA VIAGEM DE SINBAD (THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD, USA, 1958) – O diretor Nathan Juran, que anos depois, seria responsável por vários episódios de PERDIDOS NO ESPAÇO, comanda esta aventura, numa época em que o mundo árabe só suscitava fantasias irresistíveis. O roteiro é fraco, e o que sustenta a história é o trabalho em “stop-motion” do mestre Ray Harryhausen, responsável por momentos memoráveis como, A ILHA MISTERIOSA, filme, aliás, bem superior a este em todos os aspectos. Silvério certamente aprovaria. The director Nathan Juran, who years later would be responsible for several episodes of LOST IN SPACE, leads this adventure, in a period in which the Arabian world only stirred irresistible fantasies. The plot is feeble, and what keeps the story interesting is the impressive stop-motion work of the master Ray Harryhausen, in charge of memorable moments as THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, movie, I should say, much more superior than this one in all aspects. Silvério would certainly approve.
