TRAMA INTERNACIONAL (THE INTERNATIONAL, USA, 2009) –
Clive Owen é um dos atores obrigatórios – sua voz de barítono e presença espetacular
(mas não espetaculosa) em cena valem o ingresso. Neste thriller político, em
que a ação se passa em Berlin, Milão, Nova Iorque e Istambul, Owen é um agente
da Interpol que, junto com uma advogada (Naomi Watts), tenta desmascarar um grande
banco financiador de armas. O roteiro é bom, a ação intensa mantém o interesse
até o fim e Owen, mesmo com uma atuação apenas correta, faz tudo valer a pena. Mais
um personagem dele cujo traje é um sobretudo velho e gasto. Convenhamos, tem
que ter moral para usar isso e se destacar. Clive Owen is one of the obligatory
actors – his deep baritone voice and stunning (but not showy) presence in scene
are worth of the ticket. In this political thriller, in which the action takes place
in Berlin, Milan, New York and Istanbul, Owen is an Interpol agent who teams up
with a lawyer (Naomi Watts) to dismantle an important arm financing bank. The plot
is decent, the non-stop action keeps the attention until the end and Owen, despite
the only correct performance, makes everything worthwhile. Many of his roles that have him wearing a long coat, usually well-worn and tattered. Let’s face it – one
has to be self-assured to wear such a rag and still rocks!
