O DIA DEPOIS DE AMANHÃ (THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, USA, 2004) – Filmes sobre tempestades e tornados são fascinantes. Desde que bem feitos, claro. TDAT, de Roland Emmerich, usou o que melhor havia na época, e o filme ficou tecnicamente bem feito, com um ou outro defeito de CGI que, no geral, não afetou este filme-catástrofe. Emmerich destruiria o mundo, quatro anos depois, em 2012, o filme, claro. Os comentários de do diretor alemão com o roteirista e produtor Jeffrey Nachmanoff, no DVD, dão um novo entendimento da produção e concepção deste filme que afronta a lógica científica, mas é um delicioso exercício cinematográfico. Movies about storms and tornados are fascinating, lest they are well made. Roland Emmerich’s TDAT made use of the best technological resources of the time, and the movie ended up being technically produced, with a CGI flaw here and there, but this did not affect the final product. Emmerich would destroy the world in 2012, the movie, of course. The commentary edition, with Emmerich and screenwriter and producer Jeffrey Nachmanoff gives a new understanding of the production and conception of a film that defies scientific logic, but is also a delightful cinematographic exercise.
