HAN SOLO – UMA HISTÓRIA STAR WARS (SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY, USA, 2018) - O filme solo de Solo atinge, em parte, seus objetivos: é divertido, com ritmo fascinante, bonito no visual e respeitoso com suas origens. No entanto, a troca dos diretores Phil Lord e Christopher Miller por Ron Howard (cuja melhor criação é mesmo sua filha, a bela e talentosa Bryce Dallas Howard) se faz sentir exatamente no nicho que o Han Solo memorável de Harrison Ford se consagrou – falta ao filme a disposição para correr riscos, sem hesitar diante dos precipícios, com o charme vintage de matinê dos anos 40, insopitável, independente, cético e atrevido (quase às fríngias da canalhice). Todas estas características estavam incorporadas na persona do Solo de Ford. Neste filme, em certos momentos, tudo parece muito certinho, de acordo com as instruções, sem arrojo. Não que seja ruim, mas poderia ter sido muito melhor. Destaques: o sempre talentoso Woody Harrelson e Emilia Clarke, entusiasmada e correta no papel, mas tateante, como se estivesse o tempo todo pedindo permissão para participar da franquia (afinal, GAME OF THRONES ainda tem um longo caminho para ombrear com STAR WARS). Alden Ehrenreich está aquém de sua participação fabulosa em AVE, CÉSAR. Han Solo’s solo movie reaches, partially, its objectives: it is fun, with mesmerizing rhythm and nice visuals, besides being respectful with its origins. However, the change of directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller for Ron Howard (whose best creation is still his beautiful and talented daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard) is felt exactly in the niche which the memorable Harrison Ford’s Solo consecrated: it lacks risk-taking and the vintage charm of the 40’s matinees, uncontrollable, skeptical, independent and bold (almost on the fringes of shenanigans). All these traits were embodied in the Han Solo Ford’s persona. Here, sometimes, everything seems so clean, tidy, in accordance with the guidebook, boundless. The movie is not bad, but it could have been much better. The spotlight: Woody Harrelson and Emilia Clarke, enthusiastic and correct in the role, but hesitating, as if she had to ask for permission to take part in the franchise (after all, GAME OF THRONES has a long row to hoe to flank STAR WARS). Alden Ehrenreich is much behind his owesome performance in AVE, CEASAR.
