SOMBRAS DA NOITE (DARK SHADOWS, USA, 2012) – O filme de Tim Burton mantém o apuro visual tradicional do diretor, mas falta substância ao roteiro. Johnny Depp não precisa se esforçar para ser esquisito na pele do vampiro Barnabas Collins – mais um personagem meio misfit da sua galeria. O visual encantador se deve muito a Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green e Bela Heathcote, que fez a aluna apaixonada por Hugh Grant em VIRANDO A PÁGINA (2014). O destaque é o sempre bom Christopher Lee - sua escalação é uma das jogadas de mestre de Burton. Tim Burton’s movie keeps the director’s traditional visual refinement, but the script lacks substance. Johnny Depp makes no effort to be weird. His Barnabas Collins is another misfit character in his gallery. The enchanting look of the movie is due to Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green and Bela Heathcote, who was the student in love with Hugh Grant in THE REWRITE (2014). The highlight is the great Christopher Lee – his being in the cast is one of Burton’s master play.
