AS PONTES DE MADISON (THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, USA, 1995) – Um dos meus filmes favoritos. Clint Eastwood dirige uma das histórias mais belas sobre as expectativas amorosas e as decisões definidoras de nossa vida. Além disso, é também uma reflexão sobre fotografia, o que é um máximo. Clint tem uma atuação contida, deixando o talento de Maryl Streep dominar o filme. Uma sábia decisão: Streep tem uma atuação superlativa, dando a dimensão exata do seu conflito, a partir do encontro com Robert (Clint). O filme é muito superior ao livro de Robert James Waller, do qual foi adaptado, por duas razões: Meryl Streep e Clint Eastwood, dois gigantes. This is one of my favorite movies. Clint Eastwood directs one of the most beautiful stories about loving expectations and the defining decisions of our lives. Besides, it is also a reflection about photography, which is great. Clint Eastwood provides good, solid support in the sense that he doesn't overact, and allows Meryl to become the heart of the film. A wise decision: Streep has a superlative performance, providing the exact dimension of her inner conflict, from the time she meets Robert (Clint). The movie is far superior of Robert James Waller’s book, from which it is adapted, for two reasons: Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood, two giants.
