Clint, aqui, retorna aos seus temas prediletos: a culpa por algo feito no passado, a velhice, a obsolescência das tradições, o choque de culturas e o questionamento sensível sobre a duplicidade da vida. Clint delves into the subject with extreme sensitivity, showing the troubled relationship between a war veteran and his Korean neighbors. Clint is perfect on the role: a grumpy misanthrope whose wife’s death increases his grumpiness and the distance from his son and grandsons. His only happiness is a 1972 Gran Torino, preserved as a museum item in his garage. Clint, here, returns to his favorite themes: guilty for something done in the past, old age, the obsolescence of traditions, the cultural clash and the sensitive questioning about the duplicity of life.
