DRIVE (USA, 2011) – O personagem de Ryan Reynolds, neste filme, parece uma manifestação premonitória do seu papel em O LUGAR ONDE TUDO TERMINA (2012): um sujeito frio, calado, impassível diante de qualquer situação, tão capaz de dirigir eximiamente quanto ter um profundo sentido de justiça. Até que chega o imponderável: o encontro de uma mulher, com um filho pequeno, ambos apelando ao seu instinto protetor. O resultado é um filme magistral, na linha dos elementos essenciais do cinema – luz, enquadramento, close e movimento. Ryan Reynolds’ character, in this movie, seems to be a premonitory manifestation of his other role in THE PLACES BEYOND THE PINES (2012): a quiet, cold man, unmoved when facing any situation, as able to drive as to have a deep sense of justice. Until the imponderable: he meets a woman and her young son, both appealing to his protector instinct. The result is a magistral movie, aligned with the essential elements of the cinema – light, framework, close and movement. HBO.
