PEAKY BLINDERS – TEMP 6 – 6 EPISÓDIOS (USA, 2022) – Se já era difícil viver sem OZARK, agora a existência fica praticamente insuportável sem PEAKY BLINDERS, certamente a série mais estilosa de todos os tempos. Na sexta e última temporada, a ausência de Polly apressou algumas soluções para a trama. Outro fato influenciou os caminhos da série: o anúncio de um filme e/ou spin-off. De qualquer forma, PEAKY BLINDERS é impactante desde a primeira cena do primeiro episódio: Tommy Shelby cavalgando um cavalo preto pelas ruas lamacentas de Birmingham atrás de um feitiço. Aliás, não tem uma cena em que Cillian Murphy não tenha sido magnífico. Tudo na série magnetiza, desde os cortes de cabelo até as roupas dos irmãos Shelby, passando também pelos personagens nem tão secundários assim. Steven Knight, o criador e roterista, consegue fazer que todos eles sejam, ao modo de cada um, indispensáveis para uma história fascinante, cobrindo várias convulsões históricas, como a revolução comunista, o pós-guerra na Inglaterra, a ascensão operária e o crescimento do fascismo. Tudo fica crível e orgânico, a um passo do surreal, levando o espectador participar tão magicamente da trama, sempre alguns tons acima da realidade, que, agora, com seu desfecho, provoca em nós uma ausência devastadora, para a qual não parece haver compensação à vista. The announcement of a coming movie and/or a spin-off must have also influenced some decisions. Anyway, PB is stunning since the first scene of the first episode: Tommy Shelby riding a horse along the muddy streets of Birmingham to get a spell from a Chinese little girl. By the way, there is no scene in which Cillian Murphy is not magnificent. Everything mesmerizes: from the haircuts to the Shelby brother’s fashionable clothes, including the not so secondary characters. Steven Knight, the series’ creator and writer, succeeds in including all the cast with indispensable roles in a story that covers several historic convulsions, as the Communist revolution, the post-war in England, the factory worker’s ascending and the growth of Fascism. Everything is believable and organic, on the verge of surreal, inviting the viewer to magically take part in the plot always some steps above reality, that now, with its end, leave in us a devastating void, for which it seems to have no compensation.
