OS AMANTES (THE LOVERS, USA, 2017) – Filme “indie” simpático, sensível, mas não para todos os gostos, principalmente por causa do desfecho inusitado e original. Mary e Michael (Debra Winger e Tracy Letts) são um casal de meia idade que mantém, cada um, casos extraconjugais. Protelando a hora de serem honestos um com o outro, eles vão, aos poucos, redescobrindo a paixão que havia desaparecido. Há um clima meio “a vida como ela é” que transforma o filme, para nós, brasileiros, numa espécie de adaptação estrangeira das peças de Nelson Rodrigues. Nice and sensitive indie flick, but not for all tastes, mainly because of the unexpected and original ending. Mary and Michael (Debra Winger and Tracy Letts) are a couple that has, both of them, extramarital affairs. Postponing the time for being honest with each other, they start rescuing the passion that was supposedly lost. There is a “life as it really is” atmosphere that makes the movie look like an American version of one of Nelson Rodrigues’ plays.
