TEMPESTADE: PLANETA EM FÚRIA (GEOSTORM, USA, 2017) – Desligue o cérebro, se quiser ver este filme-catástrofe (o nome já diz tudo) até o fim. O produtor de quase todos os filmes de Roland Emmerich, Dean Devlin, se aventurou na direção deste projeto descerebrado que ainda conta com um roteiro ruim e um elenco sem sintonia. Afinal, o que fazem Ed Harris e Andy Garcia numa furada dessas (talvez esteja faltando dinheiro para a mensalidade do “country club”)? Mas o pior de tudo é a presença, sempre descabida, por pura falta de talento, de Gerard Butler, como protagonista marombado, capaz de resolver qualquer problema como um murro em quem estiver mais próximo. Além disso, neste filme, ele aprofunda em nós a impressão de estar sempre mastigando alguma coisa que não cabe em sua boca. Repleto de diálogos redundantes e cenas de ação burocrática, GEOSTORM ainda peca no CGI tosco e na lógica científica e narrativa. The producer of almost Roland Emmerich’s movies, Dean Devlin, dared to direct this brainless project that encompasses a lousy plot and a dispersed cast. After all, what do Ed Harris and Andy Garcia do in a flop like that (they may need an extra money for paying the country club monthly payment). But worst of all is Gerard Butler’s presence as a musclebound protagonist, able to solve any issue with a punch on the face of anyone who is nearby. Besides, he deepens the impression of being chewing something much bigger than his mouth. Fraught with redundant dialogues and bureaucratic action scenes, GEOSTORM still delivers a shoddy CGI and an inaccurate narrative and scientific logic.
