TAL PAI, TAL FILHA (LIKE FATHER, USA, 2018) – Minha curiosidade sobre este filme era a presença de Kelsey Grammer no elenco. Ele fez história na TV por ter sido o engraçadíssimo Dr. Frasier Crane, em CHEERS e no “spin-off” FRASIER, ambos excelentes. Neste filme, Grammer está muito bem num papel dramático, mas a história não ajuda: ele é o pai de Rachel (Kristen Bell, bonita, mas sempre exagerada e dura demais na entrega do personagem), que é abandonada pelo noivo no dia do casamento e acaba viajando com o pai – ausente até então – no cruzeiro de lua de mel. O arco dramático se perde em situações supostamente engraçadas e que em nada contribuem para a coesão do enredo. I was curious about this movie because of Kelsey Grammer’s presence in the cast. He is a TV legend because of his role as Dr. Frasier Crane in CHEERS and in the spin-off FRASIER, both great shows. In this movie, Grammer is outstanding in a dramatic role, but the story doesn’t help: he is Rachel’s father (Kristen Bell, beautiful, but a little bit over and too stiff in the character delivery), who is left by her fiancé on the wedding day and ends up with her father – absent at that point – in her honeymoon cruise. The dramatic arch is lost in supposedly funny situations that do not contribute to the cohesion of the plot.
