Sem contar com os CGIs de hoje, Spielberg usa e abusa, com raro talento, de uma edição frenética e efeitos mecânicos altamente eficientes. Além disso, Harrison Ford explode na tela com a perfeita personificação do herói que mistura os limites humanos com o que vai além deles, sem ofender a capacidade do espectador de acreditar no que vê. Imaginar Tom Selleck na pele do arqueólogo é possível, mas Ford, definitivamente, é Indy, com todo o DNA explícito. Spielberg, George Lucas e Ford, ao realizarem uma homenagem às aventuras dos quadrinhos e do cinema da década de 30 e 40, criaram um herói que se tornou um dos maiores ícones do cinema. Not having the CGIs of today, Spielberg makes the best of a frantic editing and highly efficient mechanical effects. Besides, Harrison Ford explodes on the screen with the perfect personification of a hero that mixes the human boundaries with what goes beyond, without offending the viewer’s ability to believe in what they see. Picturing Tom Selleck under Indiana’s skin is a possible task, but Ford, definitely, is Indy with all explicit DNA. Spielberg, George Lucas, and Ford, with their attempt to make a homage to adventure comics and flicks of the 30’s and 40’s, have created a hero that is one of the greatest movie icons.
