NO VALE DAS SOMBRAS (IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH, USA, 2007) – Um militar aposentado (Tommy Lee Jones, mais intenso impossível) e uma agente policial (Charlize Theron, num papel abaixo do seu talento) investigam o mistério do desaparecimento do seu filho, depois de uma missão na guerra do Iraque. "In the Valley of Elah" does an excellent job of showing that post-traumatic stress syndrome is not an oddity, but rather a growing problem in an army of young men whose job requires them to be quick on the trigger. This film is such a moving masterpiece on so many levels it is simply wonderful to watch. The quiet pacing of the film building up to the climax is captivatingly intense in its own way.
