ROBERTO FARIAS – MEMÓRIAS DE UM CINEASTA (Brasil, 2023) - O documentário dirigido por Marise, filha de Roberto, retrata a vida e obra do diretor de cinema e televisão, que conquistou um diálogo direto com o público através de sucessos como “O Assalto ao Trem Pagador” (1962), a trilogia com o cantor Roberto Carlos (1968 a 1971) e “Pra Frente Brasil (1982)”. Roberto Farias trabalhou na área durante sete décadas e reconhecia a importância do audiovisual na formação e defesa da identidade nacional. Há um olhar para sua cidade natal, Nova Friburgo, mas é exatamente aí a parte menos documental da produção: faltou explorar mais as influências do diretor na sua juventude, no lugar no qual nasceu. The documentary directed by Marise, Roberto's daughter, portrays the life and work of the film and television director, who conquered a direct dialogue with the public through hits such as "O Assalto ao Trem Pagador" (1962), the trilogy with singer Roberto Carlos (1968 to 1971) and "Pra Frente Brasil (1982)". Roberto Farias worked in the area for seven decades and recognized the importance of audiovisual in the formation and defense of national identity. There is a look at his hometown, Nova Friburgo, but that is exactly the least documentary part of the production: it lacked to explore more the director's influences in his youth, in the place where he was born.
