A INVOCAÇÃO DO MAL 4: O ÚLTIMO RITUAL (THE CONJURING: THE LAST RITES, USA, 2025) – A quadrilogia tem nos dois primeiros filmes seus melhores momentos, com um perfeito equilíbrio entre suspense e terror, baseado principalmente na edição ágil e criativa, além da boa atuação dos protagonistas, Patrick Wilson e Vera Farmiga. Deixando o terceiro filme de lado – ele é horrível, no pior sentido -, esta quarta edição procura retomar a atmosfera exitosa dos filmes iniciais, embora o roteiro se arraste em duas horas e 15 minutos, metade dos quais a ação se limita a explicações esotéricas e pouquíssimos sustos. Curiosamente, são os minutos finais, nos quais o casal Warren aparece dançando e projetando um futuro feliz para sua família, que inesperadamente nos emocionam, invocando perspectivas muito mais benignas, sem qualquer sombra do mal inserta nos títulos em português. The quadrilogy has its best moments in the first two films, with a perfect balance between suspense and horror, based mainly on agile and creative editing, in addition to the good performance of the protagonists, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. Leaving the third film aside – it is horrible, in the worst sense – this fourth installment seeks to resume the successful atmosphere of the initial films. However, the script drags on for two hours and 15 minutes, half of which the action is limited to esoteric explanations and very few scares. Curiously, it is the final minutes, in which the Warren couple appears dancing and projecting a happy future for their family, that unexpectedly move us, evoking more benign perspectives, without any shadow of the evil inscribed in the Portuguese titles.
