LÚCIA MCCARTNEY, UMA GAROTA DE PROGRAMA (Brasil, 1971) - Este filme de David Neves, baseado no livro de Rubens Fonseca, parece ter a pretensão de trazer uma discussão sobre a prostituição a serviço de um grupo de homens ricos, brancos e com um sistema de valores muito questionável – algo como Jeffrey Epstein e Donald costumavam fazer em priscas eras. O roteiro parece refletir a atmosfera pesada da época – o auge dos anos de chumbo no Brasil -, com personagens depressivos, manipuladores, perdidos numa cidade grande onde as vidas se definem pelo poder econômico (como, aliás, em certa medida, é assim até hoje). A trajetória de Lúcia (Adriana Prieto) é interrompida por uma clivagem no roteiro, ensamblando, na sua metade final, uma história detetivesca protagonizada por Paulo Villaça, mais cafajeste impossível no papel. This film by David Neves, based on the book by Rubens Fonseca, seems to have the intention of bringing a discussion about prostitution at the service of a group of rich, white men with a very questionable value system – something like Jeffrey Epstein and Donald used to do in ancient times. The script seems to reflect the heavy atmosphere of the time – the climax of the dictatorship in Brazil – with depressive, manipulative characters, lost in a big city where lives are defined by economic power (as, in fact, to a certain extent, it is still the case today). Lúcia's (Adriana Prieto) trajectory is interrupted by a cleavage in the script, putting together, in its final half, a detective story starring Paulo Villaça, more scoundrel impossible on the role.
