M3GAN 2.0 (USA, 2025) – Se no filme anterior, M já propunha uma discussão sobre os riscos da IA para a humanidade, sem se levar muito a sério, neste, o diretor Gerard Johnstone embarca de vez no tom cartunesco, num roteiro meio óbvio para uma sequência (há uma IA do mal a ser combatida pela M3gan reconstruída, na linha de o EXTERMINADOR DO FUTURO), além de carregar as cores numa atmosfera de comédia de terror bem mais explícita desta vez. De fato, não se nota a pretensão de promover uma discussão profunda sobre o risco de perder o controle das IAs presentes em todos os quadrantes da vida contemporânea, mas o filme diverte ao lidar com um tema tão complexo com uma abordagem campy e autorreferencial, especialmente no arco dramático envolvendo Gemma (Allison Williams) e Cady (Violet McGraw), tendo como contraponto a visão sarcástica de M3gan e suas intenções inconfessáveis. If in the previous film, M already proposed a discussion about the risks of AI to humanity, without taking it too seriously, in this one, director Gerard Johnstone embarks once and for all on the cartoonish tone, in a somewhat obvious script for a sequel (there is an evil AI to be fought by the rebuilt M3gan, in the line of the TERMINATOR), in addition to deepening the colors in a much more explicit horror comedy atmosphere this time. In fact, there is no intention to promote a deep discussion about the risk of losing control of AIs present in all quadrants of contemporary life, but the film entertains by dealing with such a complex topic with a campy and self-referential approach, especially in the dramatic arc involving Gemma (Allison Williams) and Cady (Violet McGraw), having as a counterpoint the sarcastic vision of M3gan and his unspeakable intentions.
