OS JOVENS AMANTES (LES JEUNES AMANTS, França, 2021) – Depois de 15 anos, um homem, Pierre (Melvil Poupaud), e uma mulher, Shauna (Fanny Ardant) se reencontram – ele com 45, e ela com 71 – e não conseguem evitar a intensa atração mútua. Embora ela resista à aproximação, os dois acabam recomeçando uma história de amor que vai ter seus percalços: ele ainda está (mal) casado com Jeanne (a belíssima Cécile de France, capaz de enfrentar um tsunami em ALÉM DA VIDA, de Clint Eastwood, está mal aproveitada num personagem coadjuvante), e Shauna vê na diferença de idade entre eles um obstáculo quase intransponível. Apesar do roteiro claudicante, a história se encaminha para uma excelente reflexão sobre a descoberta do amor e a necessidade premente de vivê-lo no único tempo de que dispomos – o agora. Although she resists the approach, the two end up restarting a love story that will have its mishaps: he is still (badly) married to Jeanne (the beautiful Cécile de France, capable of facing a tsunami in Clint Eastwood's HEREAFTER, is poorly used in a supporting character), and Shauna sees in the age difference between them an almost insurmountable obstacle. Despite the limping script, the story moves towards an excellent reflection on the discovery of love and the pressing need to live it in the only time we have – now. HBO.
