O AGENTE SECRETO (Brasil, USA, Holanda, França, 2025) – A primeira sequência do filme de Kleber Mendonça é de humor macabro e também altamente tensa, diante do olhar perplexo do personagem de Wagner Moura. A meu ver, é isso que dá o tom para o filme que, dali por diante, acompanha seu protagonista como se fosse uma sombra, sentindo sua angústia, à medida em que suas esperanças parecem derreter sob o sol intenso do Nordeste. O roteiro não tem pressa de apresentar suas ramificações, dispondo aos poucos seus elementos, até termos a dimensão total da história. A fotografia meio granulada nos remete aos anos 70, assim como o ritmo lento das ações e o permanente terrorismo da ditadura no ar. Kleber Mendonça retrata de modo natural a violência das relações sociais, numa época em que o medo, mais do que uma reação ao ambiente hostil do país, era uma forma de se proteger do perigo iminente atrás das ações mais simples e cotidianas como ir ao cinema, por exemplo. Uma observação: a atuação de Wagner Moura precisa ser observada com muita atenção, senão há uma grande chance de ser considerada menor do que realmente é. Uma nota: último filme de Udo Kier. The script is in no hurry to present its ramifications, gradually arranging its elements, until we have the full dimension of the story. The grainy photography takes us back to the 70s, as well as the slow pace of actions and the constant terrorism of the dictatorship in the air. Kleber Mendonça portrays in a natural way the violence of social relations, at a time when fear, more than a reaction to the hostile environment of the country, was a way of protecting oneself from imminent danger behind the simplest and most everyday actions such as going to the movies, for example. An observation: Wagner Moura's performance needs to be watched very carefully, otherwise there is a great chance of being considered less than it really is. A note: Udo Kier's last film.
