A intercessão de cenas com atores funciona na maior parte das vezes: destaque para Christian McKay, como Winston, numa boa representação da figura histórica central da minissérie. O mesmo não se pode dizer dos atores escolhidos para dar vida a Roosevelt e Stalin, ambos parecendo deslocados e sem conexão com os respectivos líderes. O lado negativo está na participação de Boris Johnson e George W Bush, cujas intervenções são irrelevantes e sem qualquer sentido histórico para a compreensão do legado por vezes duvidoso de Churchill. The same cannot be said of the actors chosen to give life to Roosevelt and Stalin, both of whom seem out of place and have no connection to their respective leaders. The downside is the participation of Boris Johnson and George W Bush, whose interventions are irrelevant and without any historical sense for understanding Churchill's sometimes dubious legacy.
