BUSCA IMPLACÁVEL (TAKEN, USA, 2008) – Esta série com Liam Neeson tem todos os componentes deste gênero, em especial, aqui, com a abordagem do tráfico internacional de mulheres. Mas é atuação impressionante – e, até então, surpreendente – de Neeson, como um protagonista num filme de ação (sem contar o seminal DARKMAN, 1990), que move um roteiro ágil (com a assinatura de Luc Besson), hipnótico e razoavelmente estruturado num motif universal – a figura paterna capaz de tudo para proteger sua prole, no caso, sua filha, raptada para ser oferecida a um sheik milionário em Paris. This series with Liam Neeson has all the components of this genre, especially, here, with the approach to the international trafficking of women. But it is Neeson's impressive – and, so far, surprising – performance, as a protagonist in an action movie (not to mention the seminal DARKMAN, 1990), that moves an agile script (with the signature of Luc Besson), hypnotic and reasonably structured in a universal motif – the father figure capable of anything to protect his offspring, in this case, his daughter, kidnapped to be offered to a millionaire sheik in Paris.
