PROJETO FLÓRIDA (THE FLORIDA
PROJECT, USA, 2017) – Em meio aos motéis baratos e coloridos dos
arredores da Disneyworld, famílias fragmentadas tentam sobreviver, apesar das
precárias condições de um mundo desolador – sim, são poucos os filmes em que
vemos a pobreza terceiro mundista grassando em pleno solo americano. PROJETO
FLÓRIDA (esse era o nome inicial da antiga Disneylândia) é apresentado sob o
ponto de vista de uma menina de seis anos (a incrivelmente talentosa Brooklynn
Kimberly Prince) que, com sua vivacidade incomum, vai levando o espectador
através da profusão de cores e movimento que caracteriza a maior parte do
filme, até o desfecho previsível, mas intensamente emocionante para quem já
viveu perdas na vida. Willem Dafoe, num papel de gente comum (o que é incomum
para ele) tem um belíssimo desempenho, que foi indicado ao Oscar de
coadjuvante. Amidst cheap and colorful
motels in the Disneyworld whereabouts, fragmented families try to survive, despite
de poor conditions of a decadent world – only in a few movies; the American
poverty is openly shown. THE FLORIDA PROJECT (this is the first name for Disneyland)
is presented from a six-year-old girl’s point of view (the incredibly talented Brooklynn
Kimberly Prince), the movie leads the viewer through a profusion of colors and
movements until the predicable but poignant end, especially for those who had
losses in life. Willem Dafoe, in a role of an ordinary man (which is uncommon for
him) has a touching performance for which he has an Oscar nomination.
