UMA VEZ EM HOLLYWOOD (ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, USA, 2019) – Emocionante
homenagem de Tarantino ao ambiente cinematográfico de Los Angeles e ao período em
que o cinema americano claudicava diante de novos desafios profissionais e estéticos.
Os personagens de Leonardo Di Caprio e Brad Pitt vão costurando as histórias quase
banais, até a noite em que Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie, com um sorriso que
deveria estar no Guiness), com todos os elementos da contracultura que marcou o
fim dos anos 60. Ainda não consegui entender as críticas negativas a um filme
que, no fundo, é uma homenagem aos sonhos que o cinema inspira. Heartfelt homage to the cinematographic environment of
Los Angeles and to the period in which the American cinema staggered because of
the new aesthetic and professional challenges. Leonardo Di Caprio and Brad Pitt’s
characters interweave almost banal stories that lead to the night of the
assassination of Sharon Tate (played by Margot Robbie, whose smile should be registered
on the Guinness Book), with all the contra cultural elements that marked the
end of the 60s. I still cannot understand the negative reviews of a movie that
is, after all, a deference to the dreams inspired by the cinema.
