GOLIAS CONTRA O DRAGÃO (LA VENDETTA DI ERCOLE, Itália, 1960) – Como a Universal detinha os direitos sobre o nome “Hércules”, o título original foi alterado e o nome do personagem principal foi trocado por Golias, o que causa estranheza, num filme, por si só, bem estranho, mas, definitivamente, muito divertido. Mark Forest carrega o filme nos ombros (entendeu, hein, hein?), no papel título, com certa ligação visceral com o personagem que ele já repetira em outros filmes do gênero. Sim, é tudo ruim, mas como não se render à tentativa desta produção italiana de retratar o universo mitológico, com seríssimas restrições orçamentárias, apanágio da produção eurotrash da época, com direito a dragões e morcegos gigantes feitos por Carlo Rambaldi, de E.T. A maior curiosidade, porém, é a presença no elenco de Broderick Crawford, um ator com certo prestígio que, provavelmente, estava com os boletos atrasados. Yes, it's all bad, but how not to surrender to the attempt of this Italian production to portray the mythological universe, with very serious budget restrictions, a hallmark of the Eurotrash production of the time, with dragons and giant bats (made by Carlo Rambaldi, from E.T.). The biggest curiosity, however, is the presence in the cast of Broderick Crawford, an actor with a certain prestige who, probably, had to pay his bills. Oldflix.
